LB Kyle Van Noy Visiting the Redskins Today

The Redskins are bringing in their third reported prospect for a pre-draft visit.

Kyle Van Noy reportedly arrived in Redskins territory late last night, and will meet with the team today. Van Noy played OLB at BYU, and is versatile enough to play every LB position. He's projected as a late 1st/early 2nd round draft prospect and could easily be gone by the time the Redskins pick at #34. He is slightly taller than Brandon Jenkins, the Redskins 5th round OLB pick last year out of FSU.

The Redskins could be looking at him as a BPA defensive player at the top of the 2nd round. They have signed a lot of short term solutions at ILB and re-resigned Rob Jackson for 1 year at OLB. Brian Orakpo signed his franchise tag, but there is no guarantee that he will work out a long term deal with the team before he hits free agency again next offseason. Van Noy could be versatile enough to provide depth at both positions if needed.

During the NFL Combine ESPN980's Chris Russell reported that the Redskins were high on Van Noy.

Late last night, USA Today's Tom Pelissero reported that following his visit with the Jaguars, Van Noy was headed to Washington.
