The Redskins have signed another offensive lineman today. Mike McGlynn spent last season on a bad Indianapolis Colts line. He is considered a better Center than Guard, especially after last season. McGlynn, 29, started his NFL career in Philadelphia getting drafted in the 4th Round. He was a backup for his first two years with the Eagles, then started 14 games at Center in his 3rd year with the team. He spent 1 year in Cincinnati where he started 4 games, and then 2 seasons with the Colts where he started 30 of 32 games. Last season McGlynn started 13 games at RG, and 3 games at C.
McGlynn visited the Redskins earlier this month before making the rounds. The signing of McGlynn continues the theme this season of getting bigger on the line. He is 6'4", 325 lbs, and could provide competition for the open job at Center this season, as well as depth at the guard positions.
