Cornerback E.J. Biggers was signed last offseason after starting his career in Tampa Bay with Raheem Morris. Biggers was brought in to play cornerback, but due to injuries and poor defensive play, was used at the safety position also. Raheem Morris was expected to push to re-sign Biggers after using him as his utility guy in the defensive backfield.
Now Biggers is back on a 1 year deal to provide depth in the secondary. Josh Wilson will not be re-signed according to reports, and Tracy Porter has been signed in his place. Richard Crawford is returning from ACL surgery, and the great Chase Minnifield was also called up from the practice squad last season. The bottom of the cornerback depth chart is wide open going in to training camp.
