Report: Redskins to Sign WR Andre Roberts

Reports indicate a four-year contract worth $16 million

USA TODAY Sports

The Washington Redskins have agreed to a four-year, $16 million contract with Cardinals free agent WR Andre Roberts, as first reported by Mike Jones of the Washington Post and Jason La Canfora of CBS News. The deal would be confirmed at today's 4 p.m. start of free agency.

Roberts gives the Redskins a viable candidate to line up opposite Pierre Garcon. He played all four years at Arizona, where he lost his starting job to Michael Floyd last season, but still recorded two touchdowns on 43 passes for 471 yards on the year.

For reference, the 26-year-old Roberts stands 5'11" and weights 195 pounds. He ran an official 4.46 seconds in the 40-yard dash.
