Here is what I wrote about Lauvao in the Hogs Haven GM: Offensive Guard Edition:
Shawn Lauvao suffered a high ankle sprain , and returned to the lineup in Week 5 and played a majority of the snaps. He struggled in run blocking last year and allowed 18 Quarterback hurries and 4 sacks. Lauvao started all 16 games the previous two season in Cleveland, but is expected to be allowed to test the market. New OC Kyle Shanahan will begin shaping his offense with the Browns, and that includes the type of linemen he likes for the Zone Blocking Scheme. Lauvao has the size, youth, and experience that Jay Gruden is looking for and shouldn’t break the bank in his contract.
To the 16(4%) of you who voted for Lauvao, here is your hat tip. Lauvao is 26 years old, and will come in to immediately compete with Kory Lichtensteiger and Chris Chester for a starting job on the offensive line. At 6' 3", 315lbs, Lauvao is the bigger OL that most people expected Gruden to be interested in building his line with.
