Much like Navin Johnson does when the new phone books arrive, I assume most of you get especially excited when Hogs Haven begins its exhaustive draft coverage. I know there are some of you who hate to wade through the extra posts on players that we not only won't see in burgundy and gold, but in the NFL at all. I apologize if that bothers some, but I hope even the haters out there can appreciate the fact that we prefer our readers to be the most informed.
We have a great team of draft profilers this year, some of whom spent the last year on the other side of the coin, commenting instead of writing. Please welcome the ones you know and the ones you don't (I'll let some of the bigger surprises play out).
I suppose I just wanted to throw out fair warning to the people who have written to me over the last year suggesting that these draft profiles aren't worth it. I respectfully disagree. These profiles not only help us build our consensus picks for who the Redskins draft, but we also gain valuable information about players who could end up on the rosters of our rivals. Finally, if there is a guy you really fall for in this draft, don't ever forget that he could end up a Redskin later in his career.
We'll be continuing to trickle in the ideas you all gave a month ago for offseason programming, and the rest of the content you are used to will continue as well.
