Washington Redskins Draft Profiles: Marqueston Huff, FS

Hogs Haven takes a look at NFL prospects heading into the 2014 draft

Marqueston Huff

Free Safety

Height: 5'11", Weight: 198 lbs

Wyoming

Strengths: Huff finished the 2013 season with an incredible 127 tackles. He's versatile, having began his career at Wyoming as a cornerback. He's fluid when changing directions and is quick off the line. He ran a 4.40 second 40 yard dash in college. He also has experience playing special teams.

Weaknesses: Huff played in a weak conference. When tackling, he will leave his feet, going for the hit rather than a tackle. Will let teammates fight through blocks rather than doing it himself to make a tackle.

Bottom Line: Huff is a quick free safety with a lot of potential. As a converted cornerback, he still needs coaching to learn his position better.

Projected Round: 5-6

Team He Fits Best On: Redskins, Texans, Rams
