Washington Redskins Draft Profiles: Martavis Bryant, WR

Hogs Haven takes a look at NFL prospects heading into the 2014 draft.

Chris Trotman

Martavis Bryant

Wide Receiver

Height: 6'4" Weight: 211 lbs

Clemson

Strengths: Bryant has two attributes that every team wants: above average size and straight line speed. Standing at a height of 6'4", he dwarfs most cornerbacks. At Clemson, he posted sub 4.4 40-yard dash times and used that speed to average 22.2 yards per catch in his college career. He had 17 receptions of 20 or more yards in 2013 and was a natural at adjusting to make the tough catch.

Weaknesses: He is somewhat slight of build and tends to get tackled easily. He was also inconsistent at times, often being overshadowed by teammate and fellow NFL prospect Sammy Watkins, and was not asked to run many complicated routes. In addition, he did not earn a starting role until his junior year.

Bottom Line: It's hard to look past his physical assets. In the NFL, he will create mismatches on the outside and should be an imposing weapon in the red zone. Bryant will likely not last beyond the third round of the draft.

Projected Round: 2-3

Team He Fits Best On: Chargers, Buccaneers, Redskins, Seahawks
