Anthony Steen

Offensive Guard

Height: 6’3"

Weight: 309

Alabama

Strengths: Steen has long been the anonymous member of an incredibly dominant Alabama offensive line. He is very technically sound, and has a decent build for a professional guard. He rarely gets beaten off the snap, and is able to effectively wall off offensive linemen.

Weaknesses: Steen is probably as strong and athletic as he is going to get, making him an average athlete at best. Doesn’t drive people off the ball, mostly walls them off. Steen does not have as high an upside, and has only played right guard, limiting the versatility that is valuable in a backup.

Bottom Line: Steen is technically savvy, and contributed to one of the most dominant individual units of the past few years. He does not have huge upside, but should be able to fill in the necessary gaps of some lines that are just a few pieces away.

Projected Round: 3rd to 4th

Team he best fits on: While he does not have the same upside as other guards, Steen should be a spot starter in his first year, or be a valuable backup.
