Hogs Haven Draft Profiles: Kelvin Benjamin, WR

Hogs Haven takes a look at NFL prospects heading into the 2014 draft.

Kelvin Benjamin

Wide Receiver

Height: 6'5" Weight: 234 lbs

Florida State

Strengths: Benjamin, who declared for the draft after two productive seasons at Florida State, is a physical freak at the wide receiver position. He has the strength to overpower most defensive backs in the blocking game or after the catch. He also has solid speed for his size, registering a 4.5 40-yard dash while in college. His wingspan gives him incredible range, and the mismatches he creates can give any defense fits.

Weaknesses: While he was capable of making spectacular catches, he would sometimes drop easy ones and seemed to have problems adjusting to poorly thrown balls. His concentration in route-running occasionally appeared lacking as well.

Bottom Line: His physical traits alone have NFL teams drooling, which is why he left college after only two years. Most scouts have him as a first or very early second round pick. If he impresses at the combine, he won't have to wait long on day one of the draft.

Projected Round: 1-2

Team He Fits Best On: Jets, Browns, Chiefs, Redskins
