In news that shouldn't be very shocking to anyone who has been following the team and the practice reports this week, it is being reported that both WR DeSean Jackson and ILB Keenan Robinson will not be able to play tomorrow vs the Rams. Zac Boyer from the Washington Times reported earlier today that Robinson would be out tomorrow, and Will Compton would start in his place.
Robinson has been having a very good year replacing London Fletcher, and this will be the first game he has missed since last year. Robinson injured his left knee(sprained MCL) last week vs the Indianapolis Colts, temporarily leaving the game. The team was hopeful that he would be able to play tomorrow after he was able to practice on Wednesday, but he has been held out the rest of the week. Will Compton replaced Perry Riley Weeks 6 and 7 when he was dealing with a knee injury, and he will likely get the start tomorrow.
#Redskins ILB Keenan Robinson will not play on Sunday because of a sprained MCL in his left knee. Will Compton will start in his place.

Compton, undrafted out of Nebraska in 2013, will be making his third start. He started vs. Arizona & Tennessee with Perry Riley injured.

DeSean Jackson was facing slim odds to play this week after injuring both legs during last week's game. Jackson was carted off the field after the second injury, but was able to return to the sidelines in the 4th quarter. The official diagnosis was a fibula contusion, and his playing status was designated a pain management decision. Jackson was held out of practice all week and was listed as questionable for the Rams game.
Jackson will be a huge loss for the Redskins tomorrow, eliminating their ability to go deep consistently. There is not another receiver on the team that can replicate what Jackson provides to the offense, and what defense have to account for. Pierre Garcon and Andre Roberts will start, and Jordan Reed is guaranteed to get more looks in this game. Santana Moss and Ryan Grant will fight for some opportunities, and Leonard Hankerson will get another opportunity to see the field tomorrow. Alfred Morris's production should also be affected by Jackson's absence and Rams front 7. Colt McCoy and the Redskins offense could be in for a long day tomorrow.
Sources confirm DeSean Jackson will not play in Sunday's game against the Rams. He has bruises on both of his legs. #Redskins
