This morning, OLB Gabe Miller's agent tweeted that his client had been re-signed to the Redskins' 53-man roster. Miller made the roster after the final cuts were announced, beating out veteran Everette Brown for the 4th OLB spot. He was then waived following the Week 4 loss to the New York Giants. He was signed to the practice squad two days later and has remained there until today. Everette Brown was re-signed after Brian Orakpo was placed on injured reserve on October 21st. He has remained the Redskins only backup OLB, with rookie Trent Murphy taking over Orakpo's starting role. Now Miller and Brown will serve as OLB and more importantly special teams depth.

John Keim is reporting that the player who will be released to make room for Miller is WR Aldrick Robinson. Robinson has been with the Redskins since being drafted in the 6th round our of SMU in 2011. He spend the majority of his rookie season on the practice squad. Over the next two years, he would start 3 games and was active for 31. He had a career high 18 receptions for 365 yards last season. Robinson was an exclusive rights free agent before this year started, and the Redskins offered him a 1 year, $570,000 contract tender which he signed in February. He reportedly had a good training camp, but once again that did not translate to the regular season and he could not get playing time with a stacked wide receiving group. He has not been active for the last 7 games, with Santana Moss moving ahead of him on the depth chart. Leonard Hankerson also returned from the PUP list and was active for one week while Robinson sat. This season Robinson recorded 1 catch for 6 yards and only played 25 snaps on offense.
Not sure if this is out yet but the redskins cut wr Aldrick Robinson to make room for gave miller

[UPDATE: 12/6/14 4PM] The Redskins have officially announced the moves, including two that were not previously reported.
The Redskins have officially announced that the signing of OLB Gabe Miller from the practice squad, and the release of Aldrick Robinson that was reported earlier today. They also made two more moves, placing CB Chase Minnifield on IR with a concussion, and signing CB Kenny Okoro from the practice squad. Minnifield was signed from the practice squad last week, and was injured during Sunday's game. This is Minnifield's last year of elgibility for the practice squad, and it could be his last year with the team given his inability to stay healthy and to secure a steady position on the 53-man roster. This will be like losing a 2nd rounder. Kenny Okoro(6' 195lbs) was signed to the Redskins' practice squad last to replace Minnifield.
