Rams vs Redskins Injury Report: DeSean Jackson Does Not Practice Again

New, comments

The Rams and the Redskins released their injury reports and the Rams are probably going into the game with a healthier roster

Tyler Polumbus was added to this week's injury report to make it a baker's dozen, but he was dealing with a personal issue, not an injury.

Two players have already been ruled out for the Rams game and both of them were expected to sit.  Kedric Golston tweaked his back before last week's game and is dealing with plantar fasciitis, while Chase Minnifield has not been cleared by the NFL after suffering a concussion last week.

Five player's are questionable going into tomorrow's short practice/walkthrough.  Last week E.J. Bigger's status was changed to OUT on the Saturday before the team traveled to Indianapolis.  This week Biggers was limited two out of the three days, and will be questionable for Sunday.

DeSean Jackson has not practiced all week due to his right fibula contusion.  Head Coach Jay Gruden said if Jackson isn't full strength/speed he would be a longshot to play.  It will be a pain management situation for him, and he will be a gametime decision on Sunday.  Expect to see more Santana Moss and possibly Ryan Grant targets if Jackson is out.

Gruden said he was very concerned with the status of everyone who wasn't able to practice today, and that includes Brandon Meriweather and Keenan Robinson.  Meriweather is the only player listed as doubtful with his sprained big toe, and coaches were not optimistic about him playing early in the week.  Expect Phillip Thomas to get his first start of his career on Sunday, and the Redskins secondary will be stretched thin once again.

Keenan Robinson was limited in practice on Wednesday, but has not been able to practice the last two days.  Not a good sign for the Redskins best ILB this season.  Will Compton would likely get the start, with the only other ILB on the roster being Steve Beauharnais, who was just signed from the practice squad last week.

Jason Hatcher had a rest day on Wednesday, and was limited the rest of the week.  He played more than half the snaps last week, and should be available vs the Rams.

Five players are probable: Ryan Clarke(Stinger), Will Compton(Stinger), Ryan Kerrigan(Wrist), Silas Redd, Jr.(rib), and Tyler Polumbus(not injury related).
