It was another rough game for the Washington Redskins last week, as the injuries started piling up again. There are 12 players listed this week, and 5 players did not practice today.
The biggest name on the injury report this week is WR DeSean Jackson who was injured twice last week vs the Colts. The official diagnosis was a fibula contusion, and the word from around the Park is no practice this week, but they are hopeful that he will be able to play on Sunday. Jackson was seen limping off to the side at today's practice.
Jason Hatcher did not practice today either, but he was able to play last week and there were no reports of him aggravating the injury he was dealing with last week. Chalk it up to a vet day off.
Kedric Golston injured his back in pre-game warmups and is also dealing with plantar fasciitis. Golston will see a spine specialist this week and likely Sunday's game and possibly more.
Brandon Meriweather is dealing with a sprained big toe, and it is doubtful he will play this week. In today's presser, Head Coach Jay Gruden said that Phillip Thomas will fill in for him if he is unable to play.
CB Chase Minnifield was called up from the practice squad last week to play nickel back with Tracy Porter going to I.R. and E.J. Biggers dealing with a concussion. And then he got a concussion himself, and is in the league-mandated concussion protocol for now.
Biggers returned to practice today with limited participation, and should be cleared to play by the end of the week.
Backup ILB Will Compton was limited today with a stinger. It was reported earlier in the week that he would see a spine specialist for a back injury, but Gruden also said he didn't think it was too serious.
Keenan Robinson was also limited with a knee injury(MCL Sprain), but Gruden was also positive about his ability to play this week. He left the Colts game, but was able to return later.
Starting NT Chris Baker(chest) and FS Ryan Clark(stinger) were also limited today, but both played last week and should be available for the Rams game.
Ryan Kerrigan(wrist) and Silas Redd, Jr. were both full this week, and Trent Williams is somehow off the injury report after practicing fully today. Williams was obviously not himself last week vs the Colts after missing the previous week due to an MCL sprain.

The Rams also had 5 players sit out practice today, including James Laurinatis, Chris Long, and Roger Saffold. But these are all veteran rest days. The Rams look very healthy heading into this week's game, and are coming off of a 52-0 blow/shut out victory over the Raiders.
