Eagles vs Redskins Inactives: Roy Helu, Jr Not Playing Today

The Redskins and Eagles announce their inactives for today's game

Robert Deutsch-USA TODAY Sports

Jason Hatcher and Gabe Miller were not able to practice this week.  Both players were ruled out when yesterday's injury report was released.  Brandon Meriweather was also placed on IR yesterday, clearing the way for Phillip Thomas to start for the final two games of the year.

Starting ILB Keenan Robinson is also inactive as expected.  Will Compton will start for him, and could finish the year as the starter if they decide to to risk Robinson's knee for the final game of the season.

Roy Helu, Jr. is a mild surprise on the inactive list today.  He was full practice all week and listed as probable for today's game.  Gruden said he wanted to see more of Chris Thompson this week, and it looks like he was serious.

The steady disappointment of Josh LeRibeus continues as he is once again inactive on gameday in favor of rookie Spencer Long.  Will Long be the new LeRib when LeRib is gone?

Trent Williams is playing as expected, so will not see the amazing tackle duo of Tom Compton and Tyler Polumbus at the start of the game.
