The Redskins have 11 players on the injury report today, and this is pretty similar to the first time they played the Giants earlier this year. The only difference is they will have a full week to get healthy this time. Five Redskins did not practice today.
Barry Cofield was listed with an illness that caused him to miss practice today. No word on his return.
Jason Hatcher likely took another veteran rest day today. He was active again last week, and sat out Wednesday practice last week too.
Roy Helu's toe injury was scheduled to be checked by a toe specialist, and his availability for Sunday's game is in question.
Brandon Meriweather is in the same situation with a toe injury, and he was not able to play last week. Phillip Thomas will get the nod again if Meriweather is still sidelined.
The biggest loss on defense was starting ILB Keenan Robinson who missed last week with a knee injury(MCL sprain). He sat out today, and Will Compton will get the start again if he can't play on Sunday.
Four more players were limited in practice including starting QB Colt McCoy and WR DeSean Jackson.
Colt McCoy returned to practice today and took some snaps along with both Robert Griffin III. He spent Monday and Tuesday getting his neck tested and meeting with specialists to determine the severity of the injury, which isn't expected to be long-term. McCoy said he hasn't had neck issues before and this was solely from the Robert Quinn sack last week. John Keim reports that a source told him McCoy's injury could open the door for someone else to get an opportunity. Gruden declined to name a starter today, but it should happen by Friday.
DeSean Jackson did some jogging today, but hasn't been running full speed in practice yet. Gruden called him 50/50 right now, and they will increase his workload during the week.
Kedric Golston is still out after injuring his back in pregame warmups two weeks ago, and he is still dealing with plantar fasciitis.
Morgan Moses left today's practice after injuring his foot/ankle and was sent to get an MRI. No word on the results or the severity of the injury yet.
Will Compton(Shoulder) and Chris Baker(Chest) were both full participants in practice today.
