Redskins Head Coach Jay Gruden confirmed in today's presser that the team will be placing injury report All-Star Tracy Porter on IR, ending his season due to a shoulder injury(AC joint).  The injury is to the same area that Porter had surgery on in the offseason, and he was hopeful after the game that it would not keep him out for long.  The Redskins and team doctors obviously thought otherwise.  Porter has been a major disappointment this season, and has been on the injury report more than he has been on the field.  Porter has played in 3 games this year, and got his first start last week when David Amerson was deactivated for violating a team rule.  Porter signed a 2 year, $6 million contract as a free agent in the offseason.  It's being reported that Chase Minnifield will return to the 53-man roster to replace Porter.  Minnifield was waived on Nov 4th to make room for Leonard Hankerson, and was signed to the practice squad the next day.

The Redskins reportedly had two CBs at practice today.  The Redskins currently have 9 players on the practice squad after signing LB Steve Beauharnais to the 53-man roster this week to replace Akeem Jordan(IR).  If the Redskins do sign Chase Minnifield, there is room for both Trey Wolfe and Chibuikem Okoro.

[UPDATE: 11/26/14 4:30PM] The Redskins have made the moves official.
