Trent Williams will miss his first game of the season giving Morgan Moses the first start of his career. Tyler Polumbus will be active as the swing tackle. Shawn Lauvao will start today after clearing the concussion protocol. The Redskins will also keep both Josh LeRibeus and rookie Spencer Long active as backups. Even with Jordan Reed out today, the Redskins will only have 5 WRs active with Santana Moss getting the start over Leonard Hankerson.
The big story this morning was CB David Amerson being inactive. Amerson did not appear on the injury report all week, but reportedly broke a team rule and will sit out today's game. He traveled with the team and was also on the field working out with the team. Tracy Porter will start in his place today, and will shift to the slot when they got to their nickel defense. This will be Porter's first start with the Redskins. E.J. Biggers is expected to see increased playing time in the slot today. CB Greg Ducre will also be active today as a backup and for special teams work.
David Amerson is not playing today for #Redskins ..We don't know exactly why yet but multiple sources tell @RedskinsRadio he's inactive.
