Third down conversions looming as a major issue for Redskins offense | Comcast SportsNet Washington
The Redskins averaged 7.1 yards to go on third down against Seattle but the average doesn’t tell the story. They had four situations where they had 10 yards or more to go. Kirk Cousins was three of four passing on those downs but none of the completions was good for the first down. Washington had six or fewer yards to go on their other eight third downs. Two of the conversions came on third and five, the other on third and three. All three conversions came on passes from Kirk Cousins to Andre Roberts. Two of them came in the first quarter so the Redskins went the last three quarters converting just one third down.
