The Redskins lost by 10 points at home to the defending Super Bowl Champion Seattle Seahawks. The questions will continue to mount about the state of the current and future team until the Skins start putting wins on the board. Just hanging with one of the best teams in the league will not be good enough. The team's average ranking(27) actually stayed the same from last week, but they had just dropped a few spots due to their embarrassing loss to the Giants at home. The fact that they didn't get completely dominated this week kept them hovering right above the absolute bottom of the list. A road win against the Cardinals is the only thing anyone should be worried about right now. Just get the W.

Kirk Cousins has found a way to maximize wide receiver DeSean Jackson. In the Monday night loss to Seattle, those two hooked up for receptions of 60 and 57 yards and gave a blueprint of how to beat the Legion of Boom downfield.

The Redskins actually improve their power rating by half a point despite losing 27-17 against Seattle on Monday night as 7-point home underdogs, as they were more competitive than expected.
26. Newsday
Kirk Cousins with a few strong moments against the defending Super Bowl champs, but not enough to convince folks he’ll take a seat once RGIII is healthy again.
26. USA Today
At least it doesnt appear theyll have to deal with any type of quarterback controversy with RG3s return inching nearer.
26. ESPN
DeSean Jackson's 60-yard touchdown in the second quarter Monday was his 14th receiving TD of 50 yards or more since 2008, passing Calvin Johnson for most in the NFL.

Washington riding a three-game losing streak and now have to travel on short rest to the west coast. 2-8-1 ATS L11 games after allowing more than 150 yards rushing.
What to make of these Redskins? And what to make of this quarterback situation brewing in D.C.?Kirk Cousins responded nicely Monday night. Even in a losing effort, Cousins performed well against what is widely considered to be the best secondary in football. But a new week brings a new test for Cousins, as the Redskins must travel to Arizona, which boasts a pretty good secondary of its own. With solid quarterback play, though, Washington can win this game.
27. Business Insider
One thing to know: The defense actually looked decent for stretches against Seattle, but Kirk Cousins has really fallen off since his breakout game against Jacksonville.
28. SBNation
They remained competitive Monday night but didn't have enough answers for Russell Wilson and the Seahawks, and the descent toward another disappointing season continues. Now the return of Robert Griffin III is being eagerly anticipated, even though Griffin's play before getting hurt was mostly unimpressive. The Redskins might catch a little bit of a break this week, however, with the Cardinals' uncertain QB situation.

With the extra days to rest and scheme, the Redskins had a strong game plan to try and knock off the defending champions. Unfortunately, they are simply not protecting Kirk Cousins well enough on offense. On defense, Ryan Kerrigan's dominant season can't hide the issues in the secondary and with the linebackers.
The Redskins aren't a bad team but they still have to tie it all together before they advance in this poll. Kirk Cousins appears to have recovered from a terrible performance against the Giants to play a decent game against the Seahawks but Alfred Morris needs to have a bigger impact.

The Redskins fell to 1-4, but move up a couple spots this week after they played the Seahawks relatively tough. It wasn't a great game by the Redskins and they needed the Seahawks to make some major errors to stay alive in this game, but Washington didn't give up and continued to fight throughout the game. The biggest concern for the Redskins is that opposing teams continue to exploit holes along the offensive line and in the secondary for big plays each week, and it's unclear how the Redskins can fix this during the season.
At least they competed against the Seahawks. It was better than the week before, but at 1-4 they have problems.

It's probably an insult to pat them on the back for losing by only 10 points at home, so I won't do it.
