Cardinals QB Drew Stanton Cleared

Drew Stanton suffered a pretty bad concussion last week and has cleared the concussion protocol and is in line to start Sunday against the Redskins.

Per a report from NFL.com's Chris Wesseling via NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport, Drew Stanton will be the Cardinals starting QB for Sunday's match-up against the Redskins unless Carson Palmer is cleared to play.  This would leave third-string QB Logan Thomas, whom most people have expected to start for the Cardinals all week, to now be the least likely QB for the Redskins to face.

Starter Carson Palmer's nerve trouble in his shoulder has improved this week, but according to reports, he may still be a week away from being ready.  With Stanton being cleared and Palmer still not 100%, it appears that Stanton will be the QB the Redskins need to be prepared for.  Logan Thomas has been taking all the first-team reps in practice this week, but apparently the Cardinals are still more confident in Stanton... even without really practicing all week.  Officially, both Palmer and Stanton are still listed as questionable.  Regardless, it appears as though it'll be a game-time decision as to whether Palmer is ready to go or if Stanton gets the start.
