The Redskins RoboCop

RoboCop is an unstoppable, action packed, law-enforcing machine. Which current Redskins player fits this description best?

Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

RoboCop uses futuristic technology to make him an unstoppable machine. RoboCop is the ultimate weapon in his universe and it makes me wonder which current Redskins player is the team’s RoboCop. Being an unstoppable monster on the field is a must to be the Redskins' RoboCop. They would have to possess a skill set that would lead them to dominate on the field, much like how RoboCop dominates the criminals of Detroit. I have narrowed it down to a list of four possible star players that could be the Redskin’s RoboCop.

1. Robert Griffin III

Robert definitely has some hardware on his knee, fitting the technology bit. But his combination of speed and arm strength convinces me that he has some robot like qualities. Even Robert Griffin III's nickname, RG3, even sounds like a robot name. Do RG3's superhuman skills make him the Redskins' RoboCop?

2. London Fletcher

London never missed a game in his NFL career, a streak of 250 consecutive games. London holds the record for consecutive starts by a linebacker. Fletcher is already the NFL’s Iron man. Is London really that far off from being RoboCop as is?

3. Brian Orakpo

Brian Orakpo is the size of RoboCop, and he can certainly hit things like RoboCop. But Orakpo’s injuries are very unlike RoboCop. Well, his numerous injuries may have caused doctors to secretly put in robot parts by now. You never know, he could be moonlighting as RoboCop and we would never know. Does Brian Orakpo’s dominance on the defensive side of the ball make him the team’s RoboCop?

4. Alfred Morris

Alfred Morris is a tough running back that always seems to be able to fight for positive yards. Morris often escapes tackles for losses and helps move the chains for the Redskins offense. In his first two seasons in the NFL, he has rushed for more then 1,000 yards and he lead the league in rushes of 20+ yards or more this season. Alfred’s one cut approach to running is simple, but impressive. Is Alfred the Redskins' unstoppable ultimate weapon?

Only you, the Hogs Haven readers can decide which Redskins player is the team's RoboCop. Vote for your choice below, or list your alternative option if you do not agree with my list.

Bonus Question: If you could enhance a current Redskins player with superior technology so that they could play forever, who would you pick and why?
