For those of us who wanted a closer look at Robert Griffin III's rehab from a torn ACL, we're about to get one.
ESPN will air "RG3: The Will to Win" on Tuesday, Aug. 27 at 7 p.m., ET. The one-hour documentary will center on Griffin's rehabilitation from a torn ACL and will focus n the Redskins quarterback's aim to return for the 2013 NFL season.
The piece will also chronicle Griffin's Pro-Bowl rookie season, where he earned Rookie of the Year honors and led the Redskins to their first division title since 1999. Griffin also took part in the filming process by using a "self-cam," and is also listed in the documentary's credits as an executive producer.
This will undoubtedly be a must-watch in the eyes of Redskins fans and other NFL fans alike, as access to Griffin's injury has mostly been limited to occasional press conferences and witnessing limited activities during training camp and OTA's. Footage of his rehabilitation will be an important aspect in connecting the dots between the day he sustained the injury and the day he returns to the field.
Encore presentations of the documentary can be seen that Saturday, Aug 31 on ESPN2 and ABC.
