What is coming in 2013: Will Compton was a great value signing as an undrafted free agent. Compton was a decorated college football player, winning all kinds of awards including two Academic All-Big Ten (2011, 2012), the 2012 Nebraska Defensive MVP, and he was the 2012 Nebraska Team Captain. He has great leadership skills and is a great football player that does not quit on plays. Compton does lack some of the size and speed to play middle linebacker, but he can make an impact as a reserve linebacker and a special teams monster this season. While Compton does lack some of the physical traits to look like a future monster linebacker, I would not be surprised if he developed into a great linebacker based on his character and how hard he plays. I think Compton has the best odds of making the team of the undrafted free agents signed this season and I look forward to seeing him play in the preseason. Take a look at Compton's sack against Southern Miss to see his great football instincts
