What is coming in 2013: Xavier Nixon was once a cant miss prospect that was going to be a dominating tackle in the NFL. Xavier Nixon has shown flashes of brilliance, but he is known for taking plays off and it seems like football is not his top priority. Nixon was signed by the Redskins as an undrafted free agent this year this year and he does have a lot of upside. He is familiar with the zone-blocking scheme and he has the skills to move up the depth chart at right tackle. He has a real opportunity to make an impact on the Redskins this season and for seasons to come if he sticks to focus on his new beginning. If his work ethic improves, I would not be surprised if he found himself starting at right tackle this season. Nixon just has to show he wants to work hard and be in the NFL.
