2012 Highlight/Lowlight: As mixed as my feelings are about reed doughty, he had an amazing play against the Dallas Cowboys in the crucial week 17 game to determine the NFC East champion. Doughty made a crucial two-for-one diving tackle near the goal line to stop the Cowboys from scoring. He took out the fullback and running back in one tackle and I’m not going to lie, it was really awesome. Doughty usually is full of lowlights during an NFL season after getting burned by receivers on a regular basis, but in all honesty, I do not remember him being especially terrible last year. That may just be due to Madieu Williams awful play last season. Madieu Williams was the football fans version of beer goggles last year. Everyone did not look as bad with him on the field.

What is coming in 2013: We all have to accept it, Reed Doughty will probably be a starting safety at some point again this season. It always happens, I have just accepted it at this point. There are a lot of players on the Redskins roster that will compete for that starting strong safety job, but Doughty may be next on the depth chart early in the season behind starter Brandon Meriweather. Meriweather's injury issues causes doubt that he will be able to hold onto the job the whole season and if he is hurt early in the season, brace yourself for some more exciting Reed Doughty starts.
