Key Career Stats

NFL Stats: 168 Tackles, 1 Sack, 2 Forced Fumbles, 3 Interceptions, 28 Passes Defended

2012 Stats: 51 Tackles, 1 Sack. 2 Forced Fumbles, 1 Interception, 7 Passes Defended

2012 Highlight/Lowlight: E. J. Biggers had a pretty good season last year with Tampa Bay. He recorded his first career sack and recorded his first two careers forced fumbles over 13 games in 2012. Biggers played well in Tampa’s week 12 loss to the Atlanta Falcons, where he recorded first career sack and his second career forced fumble. However, E. J. Biggers was on one of the worst defensive back units in the NFL last season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was not exactly a star corner last season.

What is coming in 2013: Biggers is very likely to open the season as the third corner/nickel corner for the Redskins defense. He will have to compete against young players on the roster for the third corner job, including Richard Crawford and David Amerson. I believe Biggers is likely to win the job because of his familiarity with the system and his familiarity with Defensive Backs Coach Raheem Morris. Biggers will have to play well in the nickel position in order to keep the job. The keyword for the Redskins Positions this season is competition.
