Information: David Amerson: 6’3", 194 lb

North Carolina State, Cornerback

Rookie

Key Career Stats (College):

Jack Tatum Trophy (2011)

First-team All-American (2011)

First-team All-ACC (2011)

2012 Stats: 5 interceptions, 17 passes defended

2011 Highlight/ 2012 Lowlight: Amerson shined in his 2011 sophomore season with 12 interceptions, but struggled his junior year and only had 5 interceptions. Many question his pass covering skills, but he has a lot of upside as a defensive back. Below is his college highlight reel so you can get a sneak peak at this new Redskin.

What is coming in 2013: This is a tricky one to predict. The Redskins have 3 cornerbacks already on the roster. DeAngelo Hall and Josh Wilson are projected to start and E. J. Biggers is projected to play nickel as of now. Richard Crawford is also in the mix for snaps, so Amerson will likely compete for snaps or be ready to play in case of injury. I predict he will come up with an interception during the season. He has the big play potential.
