Redskins guard Kory Lichtensteiger tweeted late Saturday night that he and the Redskins have agreed to a new contract.
Just wanted to let Redskin Nation know I am going to be around for a while. Just agreed to terms on a deal!! HTTR

Rich Campbell of the Washington Times also tweeted that the deal-in-agreement is for five years, although the amount of money it is worth has yet to be announced. The agreement cannot be made official until March 12, when the NFL's free agency period officially begins.
Lichtensteiger started all 17 of the Redskins games last season, though an ankle injury sidelined him toward the season's end. Lichtensteiger allowed 14 hurries on the season, but just one sack.
Updates will follow as more details on the contract emerge.
