Redskins Recap: Redskins Lose an Unwatchable Game to Giants, Final Score 20-6

1^st Quarter:

-Nick Williams returns the opening kick-off to the 25-yard line. Alfred Morris has an impressive start with 3 rushes and 2 catches, but Santana Moss drops the ball and the Redskins are forced to punt. The ball is down at the Giants 14-yard line.

-The Redskins defense made some plays and hold the Giants to a 3 and out. Amerson made a great play on 3^rd and 9. The Giants are forced to punt and the punt is down at the 48-yard line with no return by Santana Moss. The Redskins go 3 and out and are forced to punt. The ball is down at the Giants 28-yard line after a bad punt. There is also a 10-yard penalty on the Redskins for illegal kicking of the football on special teams. Wow, that is a bonehead play.

-The Giants got a first down but Eli was sacked on 2^nd down and threw it away on 3^rd down. The Giants are forced to punt and the punt is fair caught by Santana Moss at the Redskins 18-yard line. The Redskins are forced to punt after a 3 and out.

-The Giants go 3 and out and punt to Santana Moss. He returns the ball to the Redskins 37-yard line. The Redskins go 3 and out and are forced to punt. The punt is down at the Giants 12-yard line.

-The Giants start to move the ball. End of the 1^st quarter. Giants 0, Redskins 0.

2^nd Quarter:

-The Giants promising drive ends in a field goal attempt. The kick is no good. 11:52 remains in the half. Giants 0, Redskins 0.

-The Redskins take over and start at the Giants 40-yard line. The Redskins 3 and out again. This game is like watching paint dry.

-The Giants start with the ball on their own 20-yard line. The Giants make the first mistake as Andre Brown fumbles into Josh Wilson’s hands. Redskins will have the ball at their own 18-yard line. The Redskins are forced to kick a field goal. Womp womp. Kai Forbath kick is good with 8:16 left in the game. Giants 0, Redskins 3.

-Giants return the kick off to their own 25-yard line. Eli tried really hard to throw an interception, but Hall did not catch it. The Giants start to drive down field and Eli Manning throws a touchdown Jernigan. Jernigan had two impressive catches on the drive. The extra point is good. Giants 7, Redskins 3 with 5:21 left in the half.

-Nick Williams makes a mistake on the kick off and the Redskins start on their own 9-yard line. The Redskins 3 and out and are forced to punt. After an almost disasterous play, the Giants start with the ball on their own 45-yard line. The Giants get into the red zone but they are forced to attempt a field goal. The kick is good. Giants 10, Redskins 3 with 1:38 in the half.

-The kick off is returned to the 20-yard line by Nick Williams. The Redskins are forced to punt after a 3 and out. The Giants start with the ball at around mid-field. Eli throws an interception and he is limping off to the locker room. Maybe the Rams will not have the first overall pick.

-The Redskins offense moves into field goal range with 9 seconds left in the half. Kai Forbath hits the 49-yard field goal attempt. 4 seconds are left in the half. Giants 10, Redskins 6.

-Halftime after kickoff.

3^rd Quarter:

-The Giants return the kick off to their own 35-yard line. Curtis Painter comes in under center. Wow. The Giants go 3 and out and are forced to punt. The Redskins start with the ball on their own 14-yard line. Alfred Morris fumbles inside the Redskins 20-yard line. Wow.

-Reed Doughty intercepts Curtis Painter’s pass after the ball bounces off Brandon Myers. Wow. This game is so terrible. The Redskins go 3 and out and are forced to punt. The ball is down at the Giants 24-yard line. The Giants 3 and out and are forced to punt. Santana Moss returns the punt to the Redskins 39-yard line.

-After the Redskins start to have some offense, Kirk Cousins fumbles after a hit from Justin Tuck. The Giants then respond by going 3 and out. Santana moss returns the ball past the Redskins 40-yard line. The Redskins turn the ball over again on a Kirk Cousins interception. This game is so bad. The Giants are punting again, shocker. The ball is down at the Redskins 5-yard line. The Redskins go 3 and out again.

-The Giants have an end around play with Jernagan that goes for a touchdown to close out the 3^rd quarter. Giants 17, Redskins 6.

4^th Quarter:

-Nick Williams returns the kick off to the 29-yard line. The Redskins drive hp to about mid-field and turn the ball over on downs.

-The Giants drive down and kick a field goal. Kick is good. Giants 20, Redskins 6 with 4:53 left in the game.

-Nick Williams returns the kick to the 26-yard line. The Redskins turn the ball over on downs again. Giants punt after another 3 and out. Redskins have the ball deep in their territory. Redskins have a first down at the 2:00 minute warning.

-A Kirk Cousins interception ends the game. What a season.

Important Game Notes:

-It rained. It rained a lot.

-All of the Giants starters got hurt, and we still lost. Maybe the Giants can trade Curtis Painter for a first round pick.

-The Redskins offense barely had over 200 yards of total offense. Wow.
