Redskins Recap: Redskins Heart-breakingly Lose in London’s Last Game: Cowboys 24, Redskins 23

1^st Quarter:

-Nick Williams returns the opening kickoff to the 24-yard line. The Redskins 3 and out and are forced to punt. The punt is returned 64-yards by Micheal Spurlock to the Redskins 4-yard line. DeMarco Murray runs the ball into the end zone after some extremely poor attempts to tackle. Cowboys 7, Redskins 0: 12:49 remains in the 1^st. This looks like the last game against Dallas so far.

-Nick Williams returns the kick off to the 25-yard line. The Redskins start to have a nice drive, but stall and are forced to punt. Sav Rocca’s punt is stopped at the Cowboys 2-yard line. The Cowboys go 3 and out and are forced to punt. Dez Bryant was shaken up on the series.

-Santana moss returns the punt to the Redskins 43-yard line. The Redskins drive is stopped and the Redskins are forced to kick. Kai Forbath makes the field goal. Cowboys 7, Redskins 3: 4:15 left in the 1^st.

-The kick off is returned to the Cowboys 22-yard line. Tony Romo gets sacked by Brandon Merrieweather on a 3^rd and long. The Cowboys are forced to punt. End of the 1^st quarter.

2^nd Quarter:

-Cowboys punt is down at the Redskins 21-yard line. Pierre Garcon is a monster, just in case you did not know. The drive stalls after 2 penalties on 3^rd and goal. Redskins are forced to kick a field goal. Cowboys 7, Redskins 6: 7:40 Remains in the half.

-Spurlock does not return the kick past the 20-yard line on the kick off. Cowboys are flagged for holding on the play, the ball is spotted at the 7-yard line. Reed Doughty Fails to tackle Murray and he breaks of a 43-yard run. Tony Romo and Dez Bryant make two big plays and the Cowboys score. Cowbys 14, Redskins 6: 4:37 left in the half.

-Nick Williams returns the kick off to the 22-yard line. Kirk Cousins starts to drive but he is picked off after throwing a pass behind Santana Moss.

-The Cowboys run the ball and they end the half. Cowboys 14, Redskins 6.

3^rd Quarter:

-The Redskins kick off is returned to the Cowboys 11-yard line by Spurlock. The Cowboys Full Back fumbles the football and the ball is recovered by Josh Wilson. The Redskins start with the ball on their own 33-yard line. The Redskins capitalize with a touchdown pass to Pierre Garcon. Cowboys 14, Redskins 13. With 9:09 left in the 3^rd quarter.

-Cowboys start with the ball on their own 20-yard line. Tony Romo throws an interception at mid-field. Redskins start with the ball at the Redskins 47-yard line. Pierre Garcon has broken Art Monks record for receptions in a game. Alfred Morris imposes his will on the Cowboys defense and scores after 5 consecutive run plays. Cowboys 14, Redskins 20 with 3:41 left in the quarter

-Cowboys start with the ball on their own 20-yard line. Tony Romo sacked on 3^rd and 10 and the Cowboys are forced to punt. Moss returns the punt to the Redskins 48-yard line.

-The Redskins offense is still struggling with penalties, but the Cowboys defense is gifting first downs with penalties of their own. The Redskins drive ends with an attempted field goal. End of the 3^rd quarter.

4^th Quarter:

-Kai Forbath’s kick is good. Cowboys 14, Redskins 23 with 14:56 left in the game.

-Redskins kick off is down in the end zone and the Cowboys start at the 20-yard line. Brian Orakpo is injured during the Cowboys drive. Josh Wilson makes another monster tackle on third and long and the Cowboys are going for it on 4^th and 1, but the Cowboys get a false start. The Cowboys convert on 4^th and 6. The Cowboys attempt a field goal on 4^th and goal. Cowboys 17, Redskins 23 with 6:09 remaining in the game.

-Redskins start with the ball on their own 20-yard line. The Redskins get 1 first down, but the drive stalls at around mid-field and the Redskins are forced to punt. The ball is down at the Redskins 13-yard line.

-The Cowboys drive down to the Redskins 1-yard line on 1^st and goal. 2 minute warning. After a huge tackle on 3dr down, he Cowboys are 4^th and goal on the Redskins 10-yard line with 1:16 in the game. Neither team has any time outs remaining. The Cowboys score on 4^th and goal.
