James Brown, Phil Simms and Cris Collinsworth are joined by Detroit Lions wide receiver Nate Burleson on this week's episode of INSIDE THE NFL, which premieres tonight at 9 p.m. ET/PT on SHOWTIME.
Why is this important?
In the episode, Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III is wired for sound and can be heard encouraging opposing Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo after the game, saying:
"Hey Tony. I just wanted to say to you, don't listen to what anybody else is saying about you. You're a great quarterback, man. And this game doesn't mean anything."
As much as we've learned about RGIII over the season, his level of selflessness never ceases to amaze me. Most, if not all, players in this situation instead drop a quick "good game" and use that post-game time to celebrate with teammates, but not Griffin.
Sure, it is the hated Cowboys, but RGIII gets it.
