Redskins Add Eight to Practice Squad

Former Colts NT, Jason Shirley, must have impressed the Redskins brass a couple of weeks ago in the Skins preseason match up with Indy.
Former Colts NT, Jason Shirley, must have impressed the Redskins brass a couple of weeks ago in the Skins preseason match up with Indy.

The Redskins have signed eight members to their 2012 practice squad.

Tom Compton, Doug Worthington, and Antwon Bailey join the practice squad after playing with the Redskins during preseason.

Emmanuel Arceneaux, WR: The Alcorn State product spent last year and this preseason with the Vikings. After leaving college the 6'2 receiver played two years in the CFL with BC Lions. In two years in the CFL he had nearly 2,000 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Darryl Gamble, OLB: Gamble spent last year on the Chargers practice squad after being signed as a undrafted free agent out of Georgia.

Jason Shirley, NT: Shirley is a 26 year old veteran who has spent time with Bengals, Panthers, Seahawks, and, most recently, the Colts. He was a 5th round pick out of Fresno State in 2008 and is 6'5, 338 lbs.

DeAngelo Peterson, TE: The LSU product spent the preseason with the Rams and can flex from tight end to fullback. Peterson was a member of Shanny's Senior Bowl squad.

Robert Hughes, FB: Hughes was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Bears last year out of Notre Dame. He spent this preseason with the Buccaneers and must have caught the staff's eye last Wednesday.
