RGIII's Former Teammate Terrance Ganaway Simulating RGIII in Rams' Practices

Our friend, Ryan Van Bibber, the editor for the Rams' SB Nation website, Turf Show Times, picked up a nice nugget that RGIII's former Baylor teammate, RB Terrance Ganaway, is simulating RGIII in Rams' practices this week. Robert Griffin III commented on it:

"Yes, I had a chance to talk to him," Griffin said. "He joked and then told me that they got him playing scout team quarterback this week. I'm sure they're grilling him about everything about me, but he's a friend and hopefully he'll get to play and be active this week, but besides that we both know what the deal is. We're on separate teams and we've got to play against each other."

I'm sure Ganaway can provide some insight on RGIII's weaknesses, especially if Shanahan continues to run the Baylor offense. The storylines in week 2 just keep on coming!! A couple notes on Ganaway:

  • Ganway ran a 4.63 at the combine. Not quite the same category as RGIII's 4.41.
  • Rams' claimed Ganaway off waivers from Jets only 12 days ago.
  • Brandon Banks used to simulate Vick in practices and Skins still got wiped defensively.
I think the Tom Cruise, Risky Business movie line works well here: "Porsche RGIII, there is no substitute."
