This is about the third time I've entitled an article as such, but the case of Brandon Banks gets more and more perplexing as the years go on. (Insert Horse GIF here) Is Banks a playmaker? An asset? A liability? An optical illusion? A Redskin? It's a question that can't really be answered.
Despite Banks having over 150 all purpose yards last night he managed to drop a couple of easy catches, fumble twice, and make some unorthodox decisions. Were the positives of his performances last night the product of a horrible showing by the Buccaneers or a solid performance from Banks?
The most frustrating aspect when it comes to Banks has to be the lack of opportunity for other players. Many people in Banks' corner will tell you "we don't have anything better", but how do we know? It's like the coaching staff is trying to ram the acceptance of Banks down our throats and refusing to give other returners like Terrence Austin, Aldrick Robinson, and Richard Crawford an opportunity.
So did Brandon Banks earn a spot on this squad for 2012?
