Training Camp Open Thread: Polumbus in for Brown

I wanted to start a new thread about Training Camp today. Obviously the first reports weren't positive particularly about Jammal Brown. The latest on the RT position is

right tackle Jammal brown not practicing... Tyler polumbus takes his place.

Obviously there are a number of storylines to follow today, but I will start on the RT position. Feel free to add other interesting topics in the discussion to drive the conversation.

I think the fact that Polumbus is getting the nod here, very much goes to the point that he is the primary OL back-up. During mini-camp when Kory Lichtensteiger couldn't go, Polumbus lined up at LG, and now with Brown out he is at RT. I'm sure Willie Smith and Tom Compton will get their chance to supplant him, and free agent signing James Lee will get reps as well. Right now though it firmly looks like Polumbus is a favorite to win a back-up (and possibly starting if this keeps up) job. If Polumbus does end up the starter that spells trouble for the Redskins. Not only is he not an ideal option for 16 weeks (not that Brown is much better), but if he's starting then the depth takes a hit.

Anyways those are my thoughts on Polumbus working with the first unit. What do you think?
