Recapping First Day of Redskins OTAs and Interviews

Video of practice inside the bubble after the jump.

  • Towards the end of practice, Brandyn Thompson collided into Mike Shanahan while covering Pierre Garcon. He was down on the ground for five minutes. Team spokesman said he'd be fine, but Shanahan was a bit woozy and skipped his media presser today. (Should Mike Shanahan sue Goodell if he's concussed??)
  • DeAngelo Hall was the only player not there today. London Fletcher said he's been around the facility. It's common for players to have family functions, so let's not pile on DHall until we get some info.
  • Stephen Bowen had his knee scoped and was not participating in full.
  • Redskins who weren't a full go in practice today: Leonard Hankerson, Stephen Bowen, Kory Lichtensteiger, Tim Hightower.
  • Rick Snider of Washington Examiner said RB Tristan Davis showed explosive speed and CB Rich Crawford looked solid.
  • London Fletcher addressed the media and praised Jarvis Jenkins' rehab and studying programs.
  • Rich Tandler reported Chris Cooley is cutting well and looked to be in great shape. No braces either.
  • Fred Davis blamed the lockout and "extra free time" for the marijuana fiasco. He vowed it wouldn't happen again: "The lockout made me a little bit more free with doing that. All that free time. Now, I realize what's important.. football."
