Mike Jones of the Washington Post reported via his twitter account that the Redskins are showing an interest in guard Mike Brisiel.
Brisiel was allowed to hit the open market by the Texans, who were struggling staying under the cap. Brisiel is 29 years-old who could have a good three to five years left in the tank. He has a familiarity with the zone-blocking scheme and worked under Kyle Shanahan when he was the offensive coordinator. However, he has had some injury troubles in the past, only able to start 13 games last year.
This was to be expected from my point of view. Hard to believe the Redskins wouldn't have at least tried to sign one of the three ex-Texans.
