The Redskins seem to truly be making sure that no stone is left unturned in Indianapolis. During his press conference yesterday former Alabama running back Trent Richardson said that the Redskins were indeed one of the many teams he had met with in his time in Indy. Richardson is far and away the best back in the draft and could go anywhere from the top five to the late first round. Last year fellow Alabama alum, Mark Ingram, was the only running back taken in the first round.
You want your running backs to be confident, but one potential red flag for Richardson may be his initial unwillingness to share the backfield with other running backs:
"When it comes to playing football, I can say look at each game, any game you want to and just really try to find a negative," he said. "A lot of people try to find a negative, anything, in your game. It ain’t too many negatives I have out there.
Adrian Peterson’s not coming off the field when it’s third down or when it’s fourth-and-1," Richardson said. "They’re giving him that ball." per AP
