The Redskins have asked for some one-on-one time with LSU defensive tackle Michael Brockers after this week's combine in Indianapolis, according to Joe Everett of RookieDraft.com. The Skins were one of four teams requesting a visit along with the Rams, Browns, and Vikings.
Mel Kiper mocked Brockers going to the Panthers at #8 overall this week. Given all the Redskins needs (*cough* Quarterback *cough*), it's hard to imagine the Skins taking Brockers so high. However, if the Redskins trade back and/or Adam Carriker signs elsewhere, Brockers might be a talent too good to pass on. Brockers is the #1 ranked player at his position in the draft.
Brockers only had one forced fumble this past season, but his agility and ability to forcefully wrap up tacklers makes him very desirable. LSU had the 5th ranked rush defense in the country last year.
