Redskins Take Early Lead on Griffin to Morgan Touchdown

The Battle of the Beltway has kicked off at FedEx, and the Redskins have taken an early 7-0 lead over the visiting Ravens. After a touchback to open it up, Alfred Morris ran 29 yards up the middle, and two plays later Robert Griffin III found Pierre Garcon on the left side for 14 yards. Evan Royster and Morris ran three times for a combined 14 yards, and Griffin connected with Garcon for another 23, bringing the Redskins near the goal line. Three plays later, Griffin scrambled a little, extended the play and found Josh Morgan in the end zone for a four yard score.

It was a very impressive opening drive for the Redskins, who are looking to do whatever they can to stay in the playoff hunt.
