Where the Washington Redskins Stand After 12 Weeks | Fanspeak Washington Redskins Blog
How a few weeks have changed everything for the Washington Redskins. A team that was just looking towards 2013 according to their head coach is now right in the middle of a playoff race. The Redskins are not only in the wild card race but also in the division race if they can beat the Giants Monday night.

Chris Cooley, still without a catch, ‘not surprised’ by his role
"I didn’t know what to expect. I would have hoped for more at this point," he said. "But it’s fun to be a part of this team. It’s fun to be a part of the two wins in a row. We’ll see if we can get hot and make the playoffs." Cooley said he’s not certain if he’ll have a more significant role in the offense during the remainder of the season. "I can’t say," he said. "I can’t say more than what I’ve done is going to happen. I’m prepared. And that’s, I think, all I can think of."

Mike Shanahan studying Brandon Banks’ decision making
Shanahan expressed confidence in Banks despite the apparent lapses in judgment. "Brandon is a smart guy, and sometimes, smart guys with a lot of ability, they’re going to try to make plays," Shanahan said. "There’s common sense that prevails and then there’s a mindset of, hey, you’re going to have to fair catch it or keep it in the end zone. It’s tough with a guy who really believes he’s going to make plays. We’re going to take a hard look at it, make sure he makes the best decisions that are in the best interest of our football team."

The agreement, in partnership with Bon Secours Virginia Health System, will spur multi-site development and jobs, as well as have an estimated $40 million investment in Richmond with greatly expanded benefits.

"I didn’t feel like myself at all," he said. "I was really played that the gutted it out and played through it," said Mike Shanahan. "He wasn’t going to come out, he was going to stay in there. He was hurting." Williams’ status for next Monday’s game against the Giants is up in the air. "I’m going to stay optimistic but it’s up to coach," said Williams. "It’s a long week, we’ll see what happens.

Redskins' positive turnover differential integral in past two victories - Washington Times
"We’re starting to hone in and just pay attention to detail and get the job done," Hall said. "It was nothing schematically that we changed or we decided to do this, decided to do that. Guys are just going out there making plays. We knew at some point the defense was going to have to step up, we was going to come around and get our bearings, and what better time than now?"

More on Robert Griffin III and his relationship with his father - Washington Times
The answer to that question, it turns out, tells us the most important thing about Robert III: He wants to be great. He deeply wants it. His relationship with his dad worked because he wanted to be pushed in ways that wouldn’t work for many others.

Injured Redskins defensive lineman Adam Carriker is a noted pro wrestling enthusiast, and he has made a weekly routine of awarding a championship belt to a Redskins player following games.
