Redskins LB Robinson could be done |
Redskins rookie linebacker Keenan Robinson was undergoing an MRI Friday to determine if he had suffered a torn pectoral muscle, coach Mike Shanahan said. If that’s the case, then Robinson would be done for the season. He suffered the injury in Thursday’s 38-31 win over Dallas, though it was not discussed after the game. Robinson finished the game. "It doesn’t look good," Shanahan said.

Taking A Quick Look at the Washington Redskins Playoff Scenarios | Fanspeak Washington Redskins Blog
Though it didn't appear to be a chance of this occurring just a couple of weeks ago, the Washington Redskins are very much "in the hunt" for a playoff spot. At 5-6 though they would either need to win all five of their remaining games, or finish no worse than 4-1. In a tough NFC this year, the idea that an 8-8 team could make the playoffs is highly unlikely.

Elfin: Redskins Have A Quarterback Built For The Big Moments " CBS DC
Joe Montana. Reggie Jackson. Michael Jordan. These are all names of athletes who built untouchable legacies based on a career of rising to the occasion in big moments, and after eleven games, the stats don't lie. RGIII is cut from the same cloth and he proved it last night.

Playoff outlook: Redskins wild card chances improve |
The Redskins didn’t receive help from Green Bay, 38-10 losers at the New York Giants. So they remain two games back of New York with five games remaining. Even if the Redskins beat the Giants on Dec. 3, they’d still need help — albeit only a little — to win the division.

The Redskins Blog | Paul ‘Wide Open’ For First Career TD
Niles Paul wasn’t surprised that his patience and hard work learning the tight end position had paid off with his first-career touchdown in Thursday’s win over the Dallas Cowboys. What did surprise Paul, however, was how wide open he was on the play. "We practiced it, I sold it and was very patient," Paul said after the game. "And it was just wide open."

Robert Griffin III draws praise from LeBron James
"I tweeted he’s a monster yesterday. I hated it had to be against the Cowboys, but I give props where props is due. He’s an animal," James said. "He’s the first rookie to ever win in Cowboys Stadium on Turkey Day, but the passes he was making, honestly – the unbelievable pass to Santana Moss on the roll-out on the back shoulder, and over the middle to Pierre Garcon. He was making some unbelievable plays. He’s an unbelievable talent. Asked if Griffin had converted to the Redskins, James said, "No," and walked away.

Two NFC East wins change complexion of Washington Redskins’ season
"It’s kind of how it goes," Redskins linebacker London Fletcher said after the Thursday’s victory. "You win a few games in November just to give yourselves a chance. We really just had to win a game against Philly to stay in this thing. To come in here and get a win against the Cowboys is big. And now we just put ourselves in position to make next week’s game against the Giants even more important."

Need to Know: Despite Giants win, Redskins still in division race - Rich Tandler's Real Redskins
Washington is 5-6 with a 2-1 record in the division while New York is 7-4, 2-2. If the Redskins manage to beat the Giants, they will be 6-6 and a game back with four to play. If New York splits its four games after that (Saints, @Falcons, @Ravens, Eagles) they would be 9-7. Assuming that one of their wins is over the Eagles they would have a 3-3 record in the NFC East.

Jerry Jones ‘in awe’ of RGIII
* "I really have got to give kudos to the Redskins, Coach Shanahan, RGIII. That was as hot a hand in that first half, those plays that he made, the way that he played quarterback out there….I do want to give them a lot of credit. And anybody that watched that can see that RGIII was a huge difference-maker out there. That’s not an excuse; we just didn’t play well enough in light of how he played."
