College football is in full swing, and there are plenty of interesting match-ups and players to watch this wonderful October Saturday. Each week I will do a breakdown of some of college football's more interesting match-ups and some players to watch. If you have any ideas on anything you would like me to focus on, please leave your suggestions in the comment section below, and I'll try my best to implement them into my weekly article.

Key Match-ups:

7 Notre Dame(5-0) vs 17 Stanford(4-1 2-1conf.) - Notre Dame is off to an amazing start, and its Achilles heel, the defense, has now become the teams strength. Senior linebacker Manti Te'o leads a unit that is holding opponents to under eight points per game, which is second in the nation. Stanford is lead by senior running back Stepfon Taylor who has 555 yards rushing, and five touchdowns on the season. He is on pace to eclipse the 1330 yard 10 touchdown performance he had last season. Can the Notre Dame defense stop a balanced Stanford offensive attack?

Players to watch: RB Stepfon Taylor(senior - Stanford), OT Zack Martin(senior - ND), C Braxton Cave(senior - ND), TE Tyler Eifert(senior - ND)

13 Oklahoma(3-1 1-1conf.) vs 15 Texas(4-1 1-1conf.) - The Sooners and their senior gunslinger Landry Jones head to Dallas to take on surprising sophomore David Ash and the Longhorns. Ash, who won the quarterback job this spring from junior Case McCoy, has emerged as the unquestioned leader of this team, posting 1276 passing yards and 11 touchdowns with just two interceptions while completing 77% of his passes. His opponent, Jones, has passed for 1032 yards, with seven touchdowns and two interceptions, while completing 63% of his passes. If the stats hold true, expect a shoot-out between these two rivals.

Players to Watch: CB Carrington Byndom(junior - Texas), S Kenny Vaccaro(senior - Texas), S Tony Jefferson(junior - Oklahoma)

3 South Carolina(6-0 4-0conf.) vs 9 LSU(5-1 1-1conf.) - Are the Gamecocks for real? This is the question everyone in the college football world has been asking, and they should have their answer Saturday evening when South Carolina travels to Baton Rouge to take on the Tigers in one of the games most hostile environments for opposing teams to enter. If the Gamecocks can escape with a victory, they would become serious title contenders.

Players to watch: S Eric Reid(junior - LSU), OT Alex Hurst(senior - LSU), C T.J. Johnson(senior - S. Car).
