Haynesworth Traded to New England

With training camp opening today there will be one notable name not showing up, Albert Haynesworth. The Redskins are avoiding the circus of yesteryear by sending Haynesworth to New England.

Per Boston.com

The team acquired defensive lineman Albert Haynesworth from the Washington Redskins, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The Patriots sent a 2013 fifth-round pick to the Redskins. The trade is contingent on Haynesworth passing his physical, which has been a bit of an issue in the past.

Passing a physical may be easier said then done for Albert, he has had problems with it in the past. Bill Belichick has a history of taking in troubled players, recent examples are Randy Moss and Ryan Mallett.  This trade is certainly interesting since Haynesworth will be part of a team that partakes in the 3-4 defense. That makes the two biggest training camp distractions that we were expecting are gone going into the first day of camp.
