Shaun Draughn Joining the Redskins

According to numerous reports University of North Carolina running back Shaun Draughn has signed with the Redskins. Draughn a 5'11, 215 lbs back originally came to UNC as a safety.

Draughn began his UNC career as a safety. He converted to tailback in his sophomore season and led the team in rushing that year. He was the starting tailback in 2009 until he fractured his shoulder blade in the eighth game of the year vs. Duke. Started two games in 2010, including the Music City Bowl victory over Tennessee, and rushed for 637 yards and six touchdowns. Draughn was named MVP of the bowl game after gaining 160 yards and scoring a touchdown. via CBSSportsline

Draughn joins an already crowded backfield with Ryan Torain, Keiland Williams, Roy Helu, and Evan Royster, among others. He will have his work cut out for him to make the Skins regular season roster come September 11 against the Giants. Draughn is said to be a great fit for the zone blocking scheme.
