With the lockout strangling out all valuable football news, I was trying to think about something that would be fun to write about and maybe liven up Friday a little bit in the process. What I came up with his how/where we watch the games. To kind of set the table, I just bought my first house with my fiance in March, and ever since the buy I've been transforming the one subterranean room into a man cave to be desired. It is certainly a work in progress and I hope to share updates with you as more things get added. Right now I have a 54' plasma, a Skins putting green, and various sports memorabilia. I've also reserved one portion of one of the walls for the championship banner of the next DC team to win something (No the Kastles don't count Kevin).

But this got me thinking, does anyone else have a man cave they'd like to share? What bars do you watch the games at? And most importantly, why doesn't Redskins Nation represent more?

We easily have one of the most dedicated, rabid fan bases they are but it seems as if at sports bar and away games that we could certainly use some more representation. I'm sure this has a lot to do with the current state of the team, but that shouldn't matter too much.

My goal is to get the ball rolling for a couple projects today, I think we've grown enough as a community to make some of these things happen:

1) Hogs Haven Road Trip: Either get a bus or caravan as little as 20 people to game. I feel like Carolina would be a pretty good spot this year b/c you could get a lot of people from the "Southern HH Chapters". Also I feel like if we went to Philly half of us would end up in jail.

2) Set Up Regional Spots for HH/Skins Fans to Watch Games: Especially away games for this one. I think it would be cool to get a gathering here in Richmond (even though the sports bars suck) and then start some chapters elsewhere where HH members are concentrated.

3) Man Cave Project: Submit pics of your Man Cave and we can do weekly write ups on individual caves, then have a vote for who has the best cave. I'm sure we could gather a prize for this also, a 12 foot poster of Ken isn't out of the question.

Anything else anyone can think of? I think we have some opportunities to do a lot of fun things this upcoming year and doing some things away from the internet.
