SB Nation writer Jon Bois posted an interesting article today comparing the effectiveness of 1-back teams to those of the teams that draft and use multiple Running Backs. There are a lot of charts in here for the illiterate, but I find it extra interesting since the Redskins have been a 1-back team for so long ("We paid millions of dollars...we must start him!!!") and then back to the lunch-pail, no-name RBs that Shanahan makes stars out of.
The debate is highlighted by the fact a Running Back was not taken in this draft until the 28th pick. Is longevity more important now? Since RBs lifespan averages 2.57 years...is it better not to draft a RB high? Debate.
