Washington Redskins Top Ten Draft Busts--Andre Johnson

The feel good draft story was of course yesterday, with Art Monk going down as arguably the greatest draft success in Redskins history. Remember, when we get to the end, we will hold a vote to determine which of the players we post will go down as the Greatest Draft Success and the Biggest Draft Bust.

Today, we unearth another bust:

Andre Johnson

He ranks up there with the worst of them...league-wide. As a 1st round pick in the 1996 draft, this offensive lineman out of Penn State played in only 3 games in his whole career, and all of them were played for someone other than the team that spent a 1st rounder on  him. (I think he played three games in Detroit.)

He was not even active for a single game for us in his rookie season if I have my facts straight. Then we cut him in 1997, completing the nightmare. I wonder how many years he would have been kept if Vinny drafted him?
