Washington Redskins Draft Success: Quantity Over Quality? Sounds About Right

New, comments

In our last Bud Light spot focusing on the successes and failures of the Washington Redskins drafts over the years, I thought I would use the space to gauge where we all are on the top picks we have made so far. I know that we have amassed 278 picks in this draft, but at least a couple of them will not make the squad, right?

Let's just ask the following simple question: Of the players we selected in Rounds1-4 (Ryan Kerrigan, Jarvis Jenkins, Leonard Hankerson, Roy Helu), how many will start for the Redskins in 2011? These are the players that we are going to need right away and on a roster like ours, these are the players who probably have starting jobs to lose in the preseason.

I love what the team has done with gaining the extra selections, and I hope we get more than 4 quality players in the late rounds, but these top 4 selections appear to be guys that the Redskins targeted to fill holes immediately. Will they?
